Oh, I planted a seed and watched it grow
into the tallest tree that you could ever know
then I climbed up into its great big bows

Looked across the golden landscape
wished that I could never escape, no
some how I don't think that I would be allowed

I made a latter out of leaves
touched the ground to the top of the tree
and climbed back down before I
broke both of my knees

There I fell in love with the rolling river
out of my boat, I started to shiver
and floated along until we both became the sea

The sun it turned us into hot air
lifted away all of our silly little cares
and let me turn myself into a cloud

We gathered up the floating piles of water
across the world, we sailed and sauntered
we became so large we had to rain down

Found some seeds to soak right into
sprouted some leaves and into the tallest trees we grew
reached for the sky

So if you're ever feeling small
just remember that what you see is not all
your tree will sprout in this life or the next
